It is with deep sadness that we advise members and friends of Greystones RFC of the passing of Sonny [Patrick] Kenny.
Club Captain (1984/1985), President (2002/2003) and past Club Chairman. Sonny has been involved at our Club for almost 50 years and is the father of our Senior XV Coach, Danny Kenny.

The Club have lost yet another great friend far too early but Sonny’s memory will live on and be rightly remembered whenever the green and white of Greystones RFC is worn.

Sonny died peacefully on Sunday 14th July, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, in the amazing care of the Wicklow Hospice, Magheramore. Deeply loved and missed by his wife Shirley, children Keith, Daniel and Rebecca, daughters and son-in-law Jane, Sonia and Theo, beloved grandchildren Leo, Kaia and Máia, sister Lorraine, brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Thursday (July 18) from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. A Celebration of Sonny’s Life will take place on Friday (July 19) at 12.00noon, in the funeral home, followed by private cremation. House private.
